Chef Yosvany was a motorcycle cop in Havana, and a former heavyweight boxing champ, who built one of Cuba’s most successful privately owned restaurants. On a hunt & gather mission we explore black and gray and state-owned markets.

Academy & BAFTA & Golden Globe & Palme d’Or Awards nominated actress Marianne Jean-Baptiste is an island girl with a heart of gold, and tonnes of fun.

We gain entry into the marina in Cojimar, where Ernest Hemingway was inspired and composed much of Old Man and the Sea. This marina and all ports around the country have extremely strict access for a very small select group of Cuban fishermen with permits granted by the Ministry of Interior.
