Mexican Policia can be awesome. Forget the disparaging press north of the border. Pay respect, not bribes. Street smarts & common sense pay off. On Valentine’s Day a local motorcycle cop named Luis personally escorted Bleu & me across La Paz from the overpriced Malecón to an area with budget hotels for $18/night, including 24-hour secured parking, compared to $120 quotes everywhere else. And La Paz is a port town / naval base, so it’s not camping friendly.
